Kendriya Vidyalaya Kaduthuruthy commenced its journey on 3rd June 2015 under the Ernakulam Region of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS). The Vidyalaya is run by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, with the objective of providing quality education to the children of transferable Central Government employees and others as per KVS norms.

At present, the Vidyalaya is functioning in a temporary accommodation provided by the sponsoring agency near Hindustan Newsprint Ltd., Velloor. The school is set to shift to its permanent campus upon completion of construction on the 8 acres of land allotted for the Vidyalaya at Kaduthuruthy. The upcoming campus aims to provide enhanced infrastructure and facilities conducive to holistic learning and development.

The Vidyalaya currently offers classes from I to XII in a single section, following the CBSE curriculum. It is committed to academic excellence, character building, and the all-round development of students. The school provides a supportive and disciplined learning environment where students are encouraged to excel in academics, co-curricular activities, sports, and cultural programmes.
